Data we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information, such as your email address, authentication details, and account settings.
• Service content, such as QR destinations, names, status, and revision history.
• Subscription and transaction references needed to provide paid plans and maintain billing records. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by UseDynamicQR.
• Support, privacy, and abuse communications you send to us.
• Technical and security logs needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

Successful scans increment a per-QR daily aggregate count. We do not store the visitor's raw IP address, user agent, referrer, or browser fingerprint for QR scan analytics.

Website visits and interactions may be measured using our self-hosted Plausible analytics service and Microsoft Clarity. These services help us understand usage and improve the product and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their configurations and policies.

Controller and purposes

UseDynamicQR is the brand name under which an individual operator runs the service. That operator determines why and how personal data is processed for the service and is the data controller where applicable law uses that term.

We use personal data to provide accounts, redirects, QR management, analytics, billing, and support; prevent fraud and abuse; secure and troubleshoot the service; comply with legal obligations; and improve product reliability and usability.

Depending on the context and applicable law, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our agreement with you, to comply with law, based on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, or with your consent. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it, without affecting earlier processing.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. We share only the information needed with providers that support infrastructure, authentication, email, payment and merchant-of-record services, analytics, customer support, and URL risk checks. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business reorganization.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including providing an active account, meeting legal and accounting requirements, resolving disputes, and preventing fraud or abuse. Deleted redirect identifiers are retained so they cannot be reassigned to another customer. Aggregated scan counts may be retained without direct visitor identifiers. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, receive a portable copy, or complain to a data-protection authority. You may make a request by contacting support@usedynamicqr.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some records may be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or redirect safety.

Children

UseDynamicQR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. A higher minimum age may apply where required by local law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data to the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect service, legal, or security changes. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. We will provide reasonable notice if a change materially affects how we process personal data.
